Core Courses:

1-Principles of Anesthesiology:-

The principle of Anesthesiology module is typically a part of an anesthesia technician or anesthesia assistant program. It provides students with an introduction to the principles and practices of anesthesia, including the history of anesthesia, the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems, and the pharmacology of anesthetic drugs. Some of the topics covered in the Anesthesia  module may include:

  • The history of anesthesia and the evolution of anesthesia practice

  •  The role of the anesthesia technician or assistant in the operating room

  •  The anatomy and physiology of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems

  •  The pharmacology of anesthetic drugs, including their mechanisms of action, side effects, and interactions with other medications.

  •  The principles and techniques of airway management, including intubation and ventilation.

  •  The basics of monitoring patients during anesthesia, including measuring vital signs and monitoring the depth of anesthesia.

  •  The use of anesthesia equipment, including machines, monitors, and other specialized equipment.

The Anesthesia I module is typically delivered through a combination of lectures, hands-on laboratory experience, and clinical observations in operating rooms and other healthcare settings. The goal of the module is to provide students with a foundational understanding of the principles and practices of anesthesia, so that they can effectively assist licensed anesthesiologists in the delivery of patient care.


2-Human Anatomy and Physiology:-

Human Anatomy and Physiology is the study of anatomical structures crucial for safe and accurate administration of anesthesia and how living organisms and their parts function. It covers the basic principles and mechanisms of body functions such as respiration,circulation, digestion, and metabolism. A Physiology module focuses on the regulation and coordination of various bodily systems, including the nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory,gastrointestinal, and endocrine systems. The module covers topics such as cell physiology,neurophysiology, cardiovascular physiology, respiratory physiology, gastrointestinal physiology, and endocrine physiology. Understanding physiological principles and mechanisms is important for individuals in the medical and related fields to diagnose and treat diseases effectively.

3-Clinical Chemistry:-

The primary objective of the course focuses on fundamental ideas in clinical biochemistry. It is the study of bodily fluid biochemistry in both healthy and sick states. A solid foundation in molecular chemistry and basic biochemistry of biomolecules is required for this course. Endocrine system problems are covered at the beginning of the course. We\\'ll also look into biomolecule anomalies that lead to serious health issues. Understanding the endocrine system is one of the key goals of this course because it is expected of the students to learn about the many hormones detected in the clinical biochemistry lab on a regular basis, for example. Furthermore, in order to get students ready for clinical labs at hospitals, It is imperative that students possess a fundamental understanding of the diseases brought on by biomolecules, including lipoproteins and cardiovascular illnesses. The course\\'s second section will cover kidney and liver anatomy in relation to human disorders. The classification and significance of protein biomarkers, particularly albumin and immunoglobulins, in contemporary diagnostic laboratories will be taught to the students. There will also be research on gastrointestinal disorders such celiac disease and pancreatitis. Students will study uric acid and gout in the last chapter.

In this course, students will learn about the physiological and pathological underpinnings of biochemical investigations, as well as practical methods for measuring various biochemical parameters, result interpretation, and the clinical uses of these tests for diagnosis. These variables consist of enzymes, proteins, and metabolic byproducts.

INSTITUTE COURSES:

1-Computer Application:-

In this module the basics of computer hardware and software will be introduced to students i order to prepare them with necessary computer knowledge and working abilities in their bot personal and academic life. Students will be instructed theoretically and practically on using computer hardware components, operating systems, browsing and searching techniques, designing presentations, working with text processors, and working on data spreadsheets.Upon completing this course, students will be able to:Work on Windows Operating System (Windows 10).

  •  Using Learnata (e-learning System) and emails

  • Search using google search engine and several important websites

  •  Prepare a MS PowerPoint presentation with well-designed and organized slides having notes, header, footer, date, time, and applying appropriate animations and transition.

  •  Using MS Word document for processing texts, organizing data tables and shapes with a friendly format, generating automatic table of contents, inserting citations and references bliography.

  •  Using MS Excel for processing data tables, formatting table cells, analyzing data, applying formulas & functions, and using charts.

2-Academic Debate:-

This course is designed to develop students’ skills in academic thinking, communication,argumentation and debate. The topics of this course train students to think critically, to be creative,communicative, and a qualified manager who respects others’ points of view and leads academic arguments as well. It is about Identifying problems and offering appropriate suggestions for solving such problems. 

The course trains them also to apply different sources for academic communication, to generate knowledge. Furthermore, students are directed to raise questions and analyze the scientific texts  logically and critically. Upon completion to this course students should have knowledge about,and be able to:

1. Respecting diversity of social relations in communities.

2. Developing Critical thinking and confident decision making.

3. Writing reports, includes their specific study kind of reports, paraphrasing their required texts.

4.  Preparing and giving presentations, and doing debates as well.

5. Writing a professional CV and knowing some ideas about how to do successful job interviews.
